Brief Introduction:

Dr Shantanu Shubham has a background of being trained at the premier institute of country
NIMHANS,Bangalore and his experience at Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata puts him in a unique
position to transform Neurology services in Kosi Seemanchal zone.
His aim is to provide state of art treatment for Ischaemic stroke through Dedicated Stroke Response
team at Max7 involving Neurologist, Neurointensivist and Neurosurgery faculty. 24×7 CT and MRI
imaging facility at Max7 helps us to detect and treat Stroke patients in Golden period of first 6 hours
after stroke. This Stroke response team has treated early stroke patients with the Latest CLOT
BUSTING medicine through IV Thrombolysis.
Neurocritical care team works closely with Neurologist and Neurosurgeon to give best possible care
to all patients include Stroke, Epilepsy, Meningitis, viral encephalitis, Fungus in brain.
We aim to create a high quality , affordable and viable alternative to patients in Kosi zone who
cannot go to bigger cities for for all Neurological problems through our Patient centric team
approach.S

● Attend to Inpatients in the 120 bedded Neurology facility and 20 bedded ICU under the
department of Neurology at NIMHANS, Bangalore.
● Senior Resident in Department of Neurology from 2013 to 2015 as part of post graduate
training programme.
● Treatment of patients needing Neuro critical care in the ICU for stroke, status epilepticus,
cerebral venous thrombosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, Metabolic
Encephalopathy, Multiple sclerosis, other Immune mediated neurological diseases.
● Involved in setting up subspeciality Headache clinic in Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata with
patients of migraine, cluster headache, Tension type headache with experience in occipital
nerve blocks and BOTOX for chronic daily headache.
